Ms. Kossacoff has successfully handled multi-million dollar transactions for office, retail, hospitality, industrial, multifamily and undeveloped residential properties.  She previously served as Vice President and General Counsel at Colony Advisors, Inc.  There she established and organized the company’s Legal Department, including the implementation of a central filing system, interdepartmental compliance procedures and communication, report dissemination and training of departmental personnel.  Ms. Kossacoff supervised the outside law firms and consultants.  She coordinated the detailed due diligence analysis of a $1 billion portfolio consisting of 174 loans and REOs acquired from the Resolution Trust Corporation and managed the simultaneous sale of six loans from that portfolio to Lehman Brothers and 29 loans to Kidder Peabody.  Ms. Kossacoff also coordinated the acquisition and due diligence of a $500 million RTC portfolio composed of 102 loans and properties in three states.

In addition, Ms. Kossacoff was Senior Vice President and General Counsel at RRP Management Corp. in Los Angeles, where she managed a $500 million portfolio owned by a publicly held master limited partnership consisting of approximately 600 properties located in 48 states and Puerto Rico.  Ms. Kossacoff established the legal department and was responsible for the negotiation, documentation and closing of multi-state property sales, leasing, construction, management and finance transactions and environmental compliance issues.  She also managed the corporate and regulatory compliance program, including annual SEC filings and multi-state qualifications.  In addition, Ms. Kossacoff engaged and supervised outside counsel with respect to multi-state litigation and insurance matters.

Ms. Kossacoff trained in real estate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky and Walker in Los Angeles.  She received extensive experience in the negotiation and documentation of purchase and sale agreements, leases, construction, finance, title and land use documents.
