Ms. Garcia has been subject to improper criticism for things she has done to help others. There are merely 3 issues about her on the state bar website: 1) she brought a case against a guy who killed two cats and was sanctioned by Judge Perker Meeks at trial (even though 5 other judges approved of the case). Judge Perker Meeks is infamous for sanctioning and placing attorneys in contempt. Even former SF Supervisor Matt Gonzalez lost and was held in contempt by Judge Perker Meeks when he was a Public Defender; 2) she was disciplined for giving up her OWN money to her client-trust account for clients who could not afford expenses; and 3) she was disciplined for getting a much BETTER deal for a client without checking with him first.

She is incredibly intelligent and this criticism shows nothing of the hundreds of wins she has made and strides for the animals. Anybody who knows her would vehemently oppose any negative statements about her.

A lawyer named Christine Garcia has just come off a 3-month suspension from the California Bar, for among other things, disgraceful, unethical, and sheer stupidity (not a crime) in the practice of law in California.
She is currently subject to an "Order of Examination", for failure to pay back student loans. She is being sued by at least one former client for incompetence and fraud (comingling funds), and must make restitution to another "animal" client. Her ignorance and sheer stupidity may make her a poor sad creature for respresenting any important cause. Her website listing of various cases is a creation of her imagination and half truths--cases have settled to her disadvantage, in others she was replaced, etc., etc.
She did not graduate from Hastings College of Law in San Francisco. She is also forbidden, for a period of time, to "Serve" papers, because she lied to the court.j
