| Activities & Memberships: |
In 1988, I establish the Franchise Law Committee within the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar. I became the founding Co-Chairperson serving for two years. Thereafter, I served as sole Chairperson for 1991-92 and 1998-99. I served as Vice Chair of the combined Antitrust, Franchise and Trade Regulation Committee for 2001-2 and as Chair for 2002-3.
On behalf of the Franchise Law Committee and the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar, I drafted the 1993 revision to the Florida Sale of Business Opportunity Act.
In 1993, I chaired the Florida Bar Steering Committee for The Florida Franchise Law and Practice manual and I was Co-Chair of the Steering Committee for the second edition.
I am an author and lecturer for both The Florida Bar and the American Bar Association on the subjects of franchise, business opportunity, distribution, trademark and international law, as well as alternative dispute resolution. |
