Lisa B. Golan has practiced law for over 20 years. Prior to establishing her own office in 1998, she worked with the former Greene, Buckley, DeRieux & Jones, and more recently with Rogers & Hardin, LLP in their civil litigation departments. She currently serves as a member of the Board and of the EEOC and Technology Committees and is President Elect of the Georgia Affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association, a civil rights bar association composed of attorneys whose employment litigation practices advocate employees' rights. She also is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Atlanta and Gwinnett County Bar Associations.
Lisa’s practice areas include representing employees in cases of employment discrimination, including discrimination and harassment on the basis of age, disability, national origin, race, religion, and sex and in retaliation claims, Family Medical Leave Act claims, whistleblower claims, wage and hour and overtime claims, and in employment related Georgia tort claims and contract disputes, including evaluating, drafting and negotiating severance agreements and restrictive covenants, including covenants not to compete, non-solicitation covenants and confidentiality agreements. In the area of disability law, she advises clients as to the interplay between their rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act and their rights under ERISA and eligibility for benefits under short and long term disability policies.

Lisa was born in New York, New York, completed her undergraduate degree at Cornell University, is an active member of Cornell’s Alumni Ambassador Network, and graduated with distinction from Emory University School of Law. |

Volunteer work includes acting as a guardian ad litem and legal advocate for juveniles in connection with Fulton County Juvenile Court’s Truancy Intervention Program, assisting undocumented aliens who are the victims of trafficking and domestic abuse to obtain legal status as part of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Project Liberty, serving as a mentor in the American Bar Association’s Commission on Mental and Physical Disability Law and working with the American Diabetes Association’s Attorney Advocate Network. |
