Richard I. Diamond, P.A., provides extensive civil litigation experience in a number of distinct practice areas. In particular, Attorney Richard I. Diamond and paralegal Janelle Holzersmith focus on real estate related litigation, including mold/water intrusion litigation, employment litigation, corporate litigation and stray voltage litigation. Mr. Diamond is Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota Rules of General Practice and is authorized to conduct non-family mediations and arbitrations. In recent years, due to poor real estate construction, a portion of our litigation has involved mold damage in homes caused by water intrusion. Although this is often found in newer and stucco homes, water damage can often remain hidden for a long period of time before new buyers take note of it. Homeowners and (recent home buyers) should take note that there are statutes of limitations that may prohibit you from bringing your claim past a certain date. Employment-Law We also represent employees alleging employment discrimination. We handle claims made under both state and federal law including gender, age, religion, race, national origin, sexual orientation and marital status. Additionally, we take on harassment and retaliation claims.

Corporate litigation makes up another significant area of our practice. We represent businesspeople at the start or end of a corporate entity, by helping them get together the necessary paperwork and information at the beginning to filing, and negotiating at the dissolution. We also handle all varieties of corporate litigation, disputes between shareholders, derivative actions, guarantees and financing.

Stray Voltage litigation. We are heavily involved in litigation regarding claims of stray voltage which have significantly damaged dairy herds and other animals. We represent farmers against utilities and communications companies who have not properly constructed or isolated their lines.
