United States Court of Appeals Reverses Lower Court’s Dismissal of Copyright Infringement Action on Grounds of Timeliness. Parker Scheer Senior Associate, Garrett J. Lee Successfully Argues Appeal. BOSTON. By written decision dated June 20th 2008, The United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit reversed the earlier decision of a United States District Court Judge, which dismissed an architectural firm’s claims for copyright infringement on the basis of timeliness. Garrett J. Lee, a Senior Associate with Parker Scheer LLP’s Boston office, representing the architectural firm, successfully argued the appeal before the three judge panel in Boston. Two MBTA Green Line Trolley Cars Collide in Waban, Massachusetts. Numerous injuries reported. According to published reports, the train crash occurred at approximately 6:00 PM Wednesday evening, May 28th, 2008 near Dorset Road in the Waban section of Newton, Massachusetts while the trains were on route to Woodland Station. Because the crash occurred during rush hour, the cars were packed with commuters. At least one victim was reportedly Medflighted to Boston for emergency medical treatment. Secures $250,000 Motor Vehicle Negligence Settlement - April, 2008
The plaintiff, a 32 year old male, was operating his motorcycle along Route 16 (Washington Street) in Sherborn, Massachusetts when the traffic in front of him began to slow. In response, plaintiff slowed his motorcycle and was almost at a complete stop when he was struck from behind by a sport utility vehicle, operated by the defendant. Upon impact, the plaintiff was thrown forward into the air before falling to the road. The plaintiff was then struck again by the defendant’s car and dragged beneath it.... Read

Massachusetts Faulty Air Bag Fatalities.
Recently, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reviewed 1,446 fatal accidents, and it found that in 255 cases the air bags had not been replaced after a previous accident. A common scheme used by unscrupulous auto repair shops is to bill insurance companies to replace old air bags, but instead stuff old airbags, rags, clothing, beer cans, paper, or even packing peanuts into air bag compartments. Massachusetts Holiday Car Accidents.
Traffic fatalities caused by alcohol-impaired drivers jump by about ten percent over the Christmas and New Years holidays. A 2007 report from the National Highway Transportation Safety Board found that throughout the year, approximately thirty-percent of all traffic fatalities were caused by alcohol-impaired drivers. According to the Boston Globe, The recently recalled blood thinner
Heparin, was mostly likely the result of fraudulent activities.
The suspected fraud was the replacement of real Heparin with a
Heparin-like substance, that turned out to be a modified form

Fung Wah Bus Accident, One Person Killed.
collided this morning with a dump truck in New York City, killing a 57 year old woman as she waited to board the bus. Two police officers and several other persons were also reportedly treated for injuries. Fung Wah offers daily low-cost transportation between Boston and Manhattan .
